Rakove (hlap, rakovica ili jastog) je potrebno očistiti i skuhati ih u slanoj vreloj vodi.
Nakon što se skuhaju odvoji se meso od ljuske.
Kada odvojimo meso lagano ga pirjamo na maslacu, dodamo brašno pa prelijemo vodom ili juhom u kojoj se kuhalo zelenje te kuhamo 15-20 minuta.
Servira se sa prženim kruhom, te juhu možemo ukrasiti sjeckanim peršinom.
