Chanterelle, one of the most valued mushrooms in culinary arts. They have a particularly aromatic flavor that somewhat resembles apricots or peaches. Their color is yellow-orange, like an egg yolk. Chanterelles appear in the same place year after year, so they should be carefully picked to avoid destroying the mycelium. They usually grow hidden under a layer of leaves or soil, so they typically need cleaning after picking. It's best to clean them in nature with a brush; never soak them in water, just rinse under a strong jet. These mushrooms can be stored in the fridge for several days and do not spoil as quickly as porcini.
